“ This is the most interesting place in Germany To visit, been in the family over 150 years & Is the best Fruhschopfen place in Germany With the old traditions. Peter & his musical Friends give U a great glimpse of years gone By. I took my wife’s uncle Professor Gunter Klein there & he couldn’t believe it. I’m an American he’s of course German, but he said I thought that tradition was completely lost in Germany. It’s an experience you’ll never Forget. A must if your touring Germany. “ Really nice food, especially the white asparagus and apple wine. Friendly people, someone does speak English. May need a reservation. Ut parking is easy ”

- Gino Ruggiero -

“ Excellent food in reasonable prices. It's not a takeaway where you get your food in 10 minutes, waiting is a part of 'Gemütlichkeit'. ”

- Radek Slomnicki -

“ Very good food at decent prices in a wonderful communal setting. Small and somewhat deliberate facility and service, but well worth the short drive from the B3. ”

- Fred Bieber -

“ A very cozy, rustic restaurant with lots of charm. The decor is quaint and lovingly designed – you immediately feel at home. Wooden furniture, warm lighting, and traditional decorations create a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food is hearty and down-to-earth, with generous portions and authentic flavors. The classic dishes, in particular, impress with the freshness and high quality of the ingredients. The service is friendly, attentive, and always strives to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. One minor drawback is the sometimes longer wait time when the restaurant is busy, which, however, shows how popular it is. Overall, a highly recommended place for anyone who appreciates traditional cuisine and a rustic atmosphere. ”

“ We spontaneously dropped in for lunch on Sunday at 12 p.m. We (two people) were kindly offered a table for six, the only one still available. Although it was full both inside and outside, the food arrived less than half an hour after entering the restaurant. Very friendly and prompt service. That's certainly not a given everywhere. The food was plentiful and very good. The schnitzel was very tender and pan-fried. We would gladly return. However, we would make a reservation just to be on the safe side. ”

“ An evening that was truly "wild," because the theme was game specialties, and they were absolutely delicious , like pretty much everything they serve there. Even the duck legs they recently had were fantastically tender and flavorful, not to mention the side dishes like homemade bread dumplings and red cabbage. We've been going there for ages, always happy to return, and have never been disappointed. ”

“ We ate roast goose legs here in 2024 and 2025. This time the legs were small, and to feel full we had to order extra dumplings and gravy. The chestnuts were almost mush; the ones we ordered were whole. Overall, there wasn't enough meat, and ordering extra side dishes made the meal very expensive. We were also very uncomfortable, sitting at a narrow table for seven people. It was very loud and stuffy. We paid €320 for the meal and various drinks for seven people. This review was shared by three people, so I don't understand why they contacted other people who were there to ask me to delete it! Why should I delete a four-star review? There are worse one- and two-star reviews here! ”
